5 Weird Attractions You Never Knew Existed!

Are you a lover of all things strange and want to see something different this summer? Well we have 5, unique attractions which you must see!

Croatia's brilliant Blue Cave

Croatia is the home to the cave grotto which can be found on the remote island of Bisevo. You can take excursions from the islands of Vis or Hva. Boats can be taken inside the cave, however it would be a waste to visit the cave and not swim under water; as you get to see the amazing underwater rocks glimmer in silver and pink. The cave is at its best between 11 am and 12 noon, when the blue glow is at its strongest. The electric blue glowing effect is created when the sun’s rays enter through the water and reflect off the limestone floor of the cave. This has been described as truly incredible by visitors who have experienced the cave.

Tenerife's spectacular Sea of Clouds
To see the natural phenomenon; ‘Sea of Clouds’ you need to visit mount Teide in Tenerife, which is the highest peak in Spain. The sea of clouds is created when the sea level is condensed as they rise over the steep north slope of the island and meet warmer and drier winds coming from the Azores at a higher altitude. This then creates the thick blanket layer of clouds over the sea. If just looking at it is not enough, why don’t you go within touching distance and Paraglide across?

Fly Geyser, Nevada
Located on gated, private property within the million-acre Black Rock Desert, Fly Geyser is a man-made geothermal geyser which reaches around five feet high in Washoe, Nevada, approximately 20 miles north of Gerlach. The statue is one of the coolest attractions on the island creating a curiosity as no-one really knows how it came into existence. This attraction is not a natural phenomenon; it was reportedly accidentally built by well drilling in 1964. Despite this attraction being private, you can see it through the fence, which is close enough for you to get an incredible photo.

Maldives' Rangali Island, Maldives glowing beaches

Conrad’s Rangali Island in the Maldives is the home to the glowing beach. Here guests can witness the extraordinary, natural wonder that is the bioluminescent phytoplankton which makes the water on the beaches glow at night. This fascinating glow is created by millions of phytoplankton’s, which contain luciferase, a chemical which glows in the dark when it is disturbed by a wave and by pressure of someone standing in the sand. The chemical breaks out into tiny luminous crystal like spots. Make sure you take your camera because you will be able to take brilliant photo’s!

Devils bridge Germany
Devils Bridge is a term used for thousands of ancient bridges in Europe. The most beautiful and unique devil bridge can be found in Germany and is estimated to have been built in 1860. Why is it so beautiful, and better than any other? Well the arched semi-circle bridge is reflected on the water’s surface which creates a perfect circle. The bridge is hazardously steep another aspect of where it gets its name from.
