Whilst at the same time, the locals remain friendly and helpful for anyone who isn’t familiar with the city.
Furthermore, Milan is the pinnacle of how everyone should act and through the constant rate of bettering itself. It has become one of the most spectacular places to visit in the world without a doubt. If you thought Italy was great before, you’ll now realise why it is magnificent! This article should help to explain why just a few aspects of Milan make it such a special place!
Inspiration & the views…
Probably one of the most famous views in Milan comes in perhaps a different way than you might have expected; Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper is known throughout the world. As you can imagine, the original piece is quite a spectacle. Whilst seeing it for yourself can become quite a struggle with tickets being sold at an extreme rate; if you can get hold of one you won’t be disappointed! Of course views don’t come just in the form of artwork…
Some people would consider the view from the Duomo roof to be art in a completely different nature. This gothic feeling cathedral has had 500 years of making in order for it to look so fantastic. The interior contains some beautiful treasure and if you’re willing enough you can climb an astonishing 150 steps to reach the roof. If you’re just after a relaxing time there’s always the lift too. When you reach the top you’ll have 3.600 statues and 135 spires to feast your eyes upon. Many visitors believe both this and The Last Supper make for a great source of inspiration!
Shopping in style & San Siro traditions…
The Galleria Vittorio Emanuele (pictured below) is something of a spectacle in itself; with its glass-iron dome, mosaics and marble floor ways the entire area is made to look beautiful before you even glance at any clothing. What is more is that the shopping centre will be full of the shops you are most familiar with such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Armani. This shopping centre is the oldest in the world; built in 1867 and this goes hand in hand with the first-ever Prada store
being here since 1913.
The San Siro Stadium is known throughout the entire world and deservedly so. The atmosphere created when FC Internazionale, AC Milan, or Italy play here is always overwhelming and if you choose to watch a match here it will definitely be an unforgettable experience. The stadium was first built in 1925, but was expanded for the World Cup in 1990. All in all, this stadium reflects upon everything that is Milan and shows is a great example of how wonderful the city really is.
